1. Data the extension handles

When you browse with the extension installed, it observes the requests a page sends to Meta's pixel endpoint (facebook.com/tr) and calls to the page's fbq() function. From these it records: event names, pixel IDs, event parameters such as value, currency and product IDs, event IDs, the page address and time, whether the _fbp and _fbc cookies exist, consent and Limited Data Use flags, and the names of customer information fields together with whether each value was hashed.

The extension never stores customer information values (such as emails or phone numbers). Where a custom parameter appears to contain personal data, the extension records only the parameter name to warn you about it.

2. How the data is used

The data is used only to show the timeline, pixel details and diagnostics in the side panel, to calculate the page health score, and, if you enable it, to show an error notification.

3. Storage and retention

All data is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) on your device. Captured events are kept for 7 days and then deleted automatically by an hourly cleanup. You can clear the history of the current site or all history at any time from the panel. Settings (theme, duplicate detection, notifications) are kept until you change them or remove the extension.

4. Sharing

The extension does not send any data to the developer or to any third party. It makes no network requests of its own and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. Data leaves your device only if you export it to a JSON or CSV file yourself.

5. Permissions

storage keeps settings and the 7-day local history. alarms runs the hourly cleanup. notifications shows optional error alerts, off by default. sidePanel displays the interface. Access to all sites is needed because Meta Pixels can run on any website; it is used only to observe Meta Pixel requests.

6. Children

The extension is a developer and marketing tool and is not directed at children.
